Favorite Star Wars battle?! I don’t really know which one to choose, and I obviously cannot choose all of them. I mean, there’s the battle with Darth Maul, the clones battle on Geonosis, Anakin v. Obi-Wan, destroying the Death Stars, the battle with the Ewoks on Endor.
Hmmmm…decisions, decisions.
I would probably have to say that my favorite battle, by a small margin would be the battle of Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Not that the battle was any more epic than the others, because trust me, those other ones were pretty damn epic, but the significance of this one. I mean, really think about it. Anakin, the supposed “bringer of balance to the force” is fully converted to the Dark side, and is fighting his former master, the wise, kind, Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan trained Anakin since he was a little boy, and taught him everything he knows, much to the dismay at first to the Jedi Council to train him at all. He risked himself for Anakin time and time again, and this is how he is repaid.
Amidst the heat of the moment (pun intended, since they are on a planet full of lava), Obi-Wan tries to reason with Anakin. To help him, Obi-Wan tries to tell him that he is slowly killing Padme, but Anakin’s too consumed already. Practically watching his son try to kill him, Obi-Wan resorts to cutting off not only Anakin’s arms, but both of his legs as well. Pretty much left for dead, Obi-Wan wants to still save him, but Anakin more or less gives him the middle finger with his eyes and Obi-Wan leaves him for dead.
The significance of this battle sets us up for the rise of Darth Vader, and his classical mechanical body with his signature voice and breathing. This battle is the turning point in the power of the force, as all of the other Jedi are killed in action, minus Yoda and Obi-Wan. Thus, my favorite.
